Before you start
Entry requirements
- Minimum age: 18 years old
- Basic boating knowledge (Power Boat Skipper recommended)
- Valid ID or passport copy

Course program
Advanced Boat Handling
- Manoeuvring in marinas, ports, and tight spaces
- Handling in different wind, tide, and current conditions
- High and low speed control
Coastal Navigation and Passage Planning
- Use of charts, GPS, and electronic navigation aids
- Tides, currents, and weather interpretation
- Planning and executing safe day and night passages
Rules of the Road (COLREGS)
- International collision regulations
- Understanding right of way and priority rules
- Application in busy international waterways
Docking and Anchoring
- Mooring techniques in different conditions
- Anchoring securely with different seabeds
- Use of lines, knots, and fenders
Communication and VHF Radio
- Use of VHF radios in line with international standards
- Routine, safety, and emergency calls
- Distress communication procedures
Safety and Emergency Procedures
- Man overboard drills and recovery
- Engine troubleshooting and onboard checks
- Fire safety, first aid basics, and use of safety equipment
Crew Management and Seamanship
- Leadership and teamwork on board
- Passenger and crew safety responsibilities
- Practical rope work and seamanship skills
